Now, thanks to your palette i like that cool "passepartout" effect of violets and then I think the following hypothesis: 1) Maybe violet is minority as working colour, but if its true or not doesn't matter because maybe (and here is the hypothesis) violet's behaviour is like white... Maybe any colour combines with violets pretty well, so... it's a great passepartout colour choice...
